The Rantin receipt book
19-20th century.
This receipt book was found in an underfloor deposit in Sydenham, under a house belonging to
J. Rantin.
The beginning of the archaeological authority process includes research to prove the case for potential archaeology on site. The appraisal research revealed the Rantin family owned a lot of sections in the Sydenham area, including this property which they were recorded living at prior
to 1900.
It's great when the appraisal phase of research comes through in the archaeology.
