Pumping out the tunes
20th century.
This is a Bilhorn Telescopic Organ from Chicago, otherwise known as a pump organ or harmonium.
It was found under the pulpit of a church during demolition. It dates from the early 20th century when such instruments were highly popular.
This particular model folded into a carrycase for easy transport. It was in such a good condition that when it was opened on site by the demolition crew, a quick test revealed that it could still carry a tune.
